There are over 165,000 mhealth apps on Android app store and Apple iTunes store, yet the usability tends to be low. Multiple surveys have found that most of the health apps aren’t used for long after download. A recent study by University of California at San Francisco (UCSF) revealed that majority of the mhealth apps are too difficult to use.


More Than 58% of Users downloaded at least one mHealth App

  In a survey conducted by researchers at NYU Langone Medical Center, it was found that over 58 percent of users had downloaded one of the estimated 40,000 available health-related mobile applications mHealth Apps.

A recent survey reveals that 46 percent of clinicians are planning to integrate some form of mHealth apps to enhance patient experience over the next five years. The survey included over 500 healthcare professionals and 1000 mHealth app users. The findings are a clear indicator of the potential of mHealth apps in healthcare.
