I-9 Form Tracking System
Technology
ASP with SQL Server. Browser based.

Solution
KMG deployed an onsite coordinator at the client’s office to understand the application & the innards of the code. After the knowledge transfer was complete, the onsite coordinator established a support-team in India.

KMG also developed a web based issue tracker for tracking the requests which helped in providing timely and efficient response to the client.

KMG offered its client a concept of “bank of hours”. Under this model, the client got a fixed number of hours credited to him every month. He had the complete flexibility of using these “banked” hours. The hours were rolled on to the next month, if there was no requirement for the KMG team .

Project Description
The client wanted support for the I-9 Form Tracking system. It was a browser-based system which was used by the client’s employees for entering and updating the I9 forms. These forms were processed and tracked by the client’s staff.

  Major Issues / Challenges
The software had been written by the client's internal IT team so the intricacies of the system could be understood only through a close interaction with the original developers.

The client was also hesitant in opting for a full-time model as the enhancement requests for this system came in bursts & spurts. He did not want to pay for a team that did not have work to do.
