Solution
KMG provided a solution with an "Auto Reply" feature for exception handling for a specific number of error messages, which were defined as the threshold level for the program or the region as a whole. KMG provided Web based UI to add, view, or change OMI auto-reply threshold values and to view the event log for an EOD process.
KMG developed Utility to capture program execution information at run time by inserting native language source code into existing program source. This helped programmers and analyst to debug and analyze program exceptions. Since it was written in Java, it could be launched from web based UI to instrument RPG/400 and ILE RPG programs.

Project Description
The client wanted to automate the current exception handling process and provide a utility to capture the run time information of RPG/400, ILERPG and Java language.

Major Issues / Challenges
No default process exists to assist operator for exception handling coming from parallel job queues and subsystem.
Nothing is recorded for the developer or the analyst to assist in determining what caused the transaction to fail.
